I finally saw The Aviator tonight. It was so good. Best performance by Leo that I’ve seen. And I’ve seen most of them.
And then I get home and The Golden Globes are playing again, which I also didn’t see yet. I turn it on to see Leo being announced as the best actor in a drama for The Aviator, which he totally deserved, and then they cut to Kate Winslet applauding for him. And being the dork I am, this makes me think of Titanic. I think it’s great that she’s happy for him and that they’re still friends. I mean, it has been almost ten years since they worked together on Titanic.
I really wanted to call the other night when the Tsunami Aid Relief thing was on TV, and I really hoped that he or Brad Pitt answered so I could talk to them. But, alas, I am a broke high school student with no money to donate. And there’s no way I would call and not donate anything. That would be horrible.
At the end of his acceptance speech Leonardo said to remember to keep helping out for everyone affected by the recent tsunami, which made me think of that.
